Marriott Bonvoy’s Autograph Collection has arrived in India with Noormahal, a reimagined historic palace hotel in Karnal, Haryana (Delhi NCR). The property — restored by descendants of a Maharaja — blends regal architecture and period décor across 176 guest rooms and suites, plus two penthouses that offer private terraces and dedicated butler service.
Sited along the Grand Trunk Road, Noormahal displays regional art and artifacts that draw on Mughal, Rajput, Punjabi and Persian influences. General Manager Mahesh Singh Jasrotia says the property was designed to stay closely connected to the culture and landscape of North India.
On-site amenities include a spa, fitness center, outdoor pool and quiet relaxation areas, plus a Kids Play Zone. Active guests can enjoy tennis, pickleball, ziplining and rock-climbing activities.
Dining comes from four outlets: Frontier Mail, presenting Northwestern frontier recipes; Colonel Saab, serving modern Indian and international plates; the Polo Bar, focused on polo-inspired cocktails; and The Cake Factory, for handcrafted desserts.
Noormahal also functions as a gateway to nearby attractions such as the Golden Temple in Punjab, Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand and adventure destinations in Himachal Pradesh. The hotel is in Karnal, roughly a two-hour drive from both Chandigarh (IXC) and Delhi (DEL) airports; Karnal Railway Station is about 15 minutes away.
Rooms currently start at about 19,000 Indian rupees per night (roughly $204). The property does not yet show availability for Marriott Bonvoy points redemption, but that could change over time.
