JetBlue’s first airport lounge, BlueHouse, has been open at New York JFK’s Terminal 5 for just over a month. To avoid the overcrowding common at many lounges, access has been tightly controlled. Initially, entry was limited to the highest-tier elites, certain credit card holders and passengers traveling to Europe in Mint. Starting this week, JetBlue is offering a limited number of one-time day passes for additional customers.
Who can enter
– BlueHouse policies apply at JFK Terminal 5 and will be used for the Boston (BOS) lounge when it opens later this year.
– Complimentary access remains for Mosaic 4 (top-tier) elites, TrueBlue members with the JetBlue Premier Card (annual fee noted at $499) and passengers flying to Europe in Mint.
– No customers traveling on Blue Basic (basic economy) fares may enter.
– Every entrant must have a same-day, confirmed JetBlue boarding pass.
Paid one-time day passes
The following customers can buy a single-use BlueHouse pass starting this week:
– Mosaic 3 members: $59 per person
– Mosaic 1 and Mosaic 2 members: $79 per person
– Non-transatlantic Mint passengers: $59 per person
– JetBlue Plus Card and JetBlue Business Card holders: $79 per person (available starting later this week)
Guest policy
Guest allowances vary by how access is earned:
– Mosaic 4 elites and JetBlue Premier Card holders receive one complimentary guest; additional guests cost $39 each.
– Transatlantic Mint passengers must pay $39 per eligible guest.
– Paid day passes follow the same guest-eligibility rules for bringing companions.
– As above, no Blue Basic customers are permitted, and all guests must hold same-day JetBlue boarding passes.
