Galaxy Cruises Expands with New Luxury Vessels in Galápagos

Ecuador's renowned Galaxy Cruises is enhancing its offerings in the Galápagos Islands with the addition of two exquisite vessels. This expansion aims to provide travelers with unique and memorable experiences while navigating the stunning landscapes of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Introducing Galaxy Stella and Galaxy Skape

The first of the two vessels, the Galaxy Stella, is a luxurious expedition yacht designed to accommodate 12 guests. It features six elegantly appointed cabins, including a master suite complete with a study and a hot tub. Guests will also enjoy a barbecue area and fire pit on the deck, perfect for socializing under the stars.

The Galaxy Skape, on the other hand, is ideal for day trips, accommodating 16 guests and providing excursions for those staying on land. Built for speed, the Galaxy Skape is the quickest boat in the Galaxy fleet, crafted in Italy and perfect for efficient island hopping.

Exclusive Experiences with a Focus on Nature

In the Galápagos, regulations limit groups to 16 individuals per guide when exploring the islands. However, with Galaxy's vessels, all guests can land together, eliminating waiting times and maximizing their adventure. Alexis Gordillo, the founder and CEO of Galaxy Cruises, emphasized the importance of this feature for travel advisors and their clients, stating, “Our goal is to enhance the experience for everyone on board with efficient land access.”

The Galaxy Stella offers a range of cruise itineraries, including a four-day journey along the southern route, a five-day adventure on the eastern route, and an eight-day exploration of the western route. Travelers can also combine the southern and eastern routes for an extended eight-day voyage. Additionally, the yacht is available for charter by private groups or families, providing a personalized touch to their travel plans.

Island Adventures Await

The Galaxy Skape provides day-trip excursions to breathtaking locations such as North Seymour, South Plaza, and Bartolomé. This swift vessel ensures that passengers spend their daylight hours exploring the islands or enjoying activities such as snorkeling, with early landings allowing optimal wildlife observation.

As part of its multi-day cruise offerings, Galaxy Cruises operates during the night, traveling between islands while guests sleep. This approach allows travelers to wake up in a new destination each morning, ready to explore when temperatures are cooler and wildlife is most active.

Getting to the Galápagos

Travelers can easily access the Galápagos Islands via a domestic flight of approximately two hours from either Quito or Guayaquil. Upon arrival at Baltra or San Cristóbal, they will be greeted by the welcoming Galaxy team, ready to assist with the next steps of their adventure.

Angélica Ortiz, Galaxy Cruises' commerce and marketing analyst, shared the company’s vision: “We believe every journey to the Galápagos should be experienced through all five senses. Our two new vessels offer exclusive experiences for travelers while creating opportunities for the local communities.”

With the introduction of the Galaxy Stella and Galaxy Skape, Galaxy Cruises continues to elevate the standards of luxury travel in the exquisite Galápagos Islands, providing unforgettable journeys that connect guests with nature and enrich their travel experiences.
