Capital One is back in South Beach for Miami Art Week with a series of cardholder events and a public art installation. Partnering with Cultivist and artist Alex Prager, the bank brings Prager’s Mirage Factory immersive experience to The Shelborne By Proper on Miami Beach. The installation is open to the public Dec. 4–5; cardholder programming runs Dec. 1–6.
Cardholder-exclusive highlights (at The Shelborne):
– Dinner with Chef Dave Beran at the Mirage Factory — Dec. 2 (sold out at time of reporting; ticket drops have occurred)
– Martinis at the Mirage Factory — Dec. 4 (sold out at time of reporting)
– Golden Hour poolside gatherings with complimentary light bites, drinks, and live music — Dec. 3–5, 4 p.m.–6 p.m.
– Nightly Sound Sessions: DJ sets at the Shelborne bar — Dec. 2–5, 10 p.m.–12 a.m.
– Daily wellness classes and additional programming throughout the week
Note: Several events showed as sold out when this was written, but Capital One has released additional tickets intermittently. If you’re watching for access, check for ticket drops.
How to attend
These events are limited to Capital One Venture X Rewards or Venture X Business cardholders. If you aren’t already a cardholder, current welcome offers (subject to change) include:
– Capital One Venture X: 100,000 bonus miles after spending $10,000 in the first six months.
– Capital One Venture X Business: Up to 400,000 bonus miles — 200,000 after spending $30,000 in the first three months and another 200,000 after spending $150,000 in the first six months.
Ticketing tip: Because tickets have value, paying cash is generally a better deal than redeeming 25,000 miles for entry.
Cardholder perks and related benefits
– Cultivist: Venture X cardholders can get 50% off a Cultivist Enthusiast membership for up to two years, which includes perks like free museum access, private museum hours, and access to the Cultivist app.
– The Shelborne By Proper: This historic Art Deco oceanfront hotel is part of Capital One’s Premier Collection. Booking through the Premier Collection can include benefits such as a $100 experience credit, daily breakfast for two, room upgrades when available, and early check-in/late checkout when available.
Other Capital One experiences
Capital One regularly offers cardholder-exclusive events beyond Miami Art Week, including curated Broadway experiences, cardholder tickets to MLB games, and branded hospitality like the Jose Andrés Group’s race day party during the Las Vegas F1. Bottom line
If you hold a Venture X or Venture X Business card and will be in Miami for Art Week, Capital One’s program at The Shelborne offers immersive art, dinners, poolside gatherings, wellness classes, and live music — a reminder that premium card benefits often include exclusive cultural programming.
