World of Hyatt awards 500 bonus points per night for qualifying stays at select hotels new to the Hyatt portfolio. While 500 points is modest (TPG values them at about $8.25 as of May 2026), the promotion requires no registration and can stack with regular earnings on eligible rates or when redeeming a Hyatt free night certificate. Bonus points are paid only for one room per night, and Hyatt notes it may take three to four weeks for posted bonus points, though they often appear with regular stay earnings.
How it works
– Stay at a participating “new hotel” within that property’s offer window. Your checkout date must fall inside the hotel’s promotional period.
– Provide your World of Hyatt number at check-in.
– Pay an eligible rate or redeem a qualifying free night certificate or points booking. Groups, conventions, special package or promotional rates and some special rate programs are not eligible.
– Only one room earns the bonus per night.

Bottom line
The 500-point per-night bonus is an easy extra for members staying at newly opened Hyatt properties, and many of the current participating hotels are low-category options (six Category 1 and six Category 2), which can be appealing for points redemptions. Keep in mind new hotels may still be working out operational kinks and that not all facilities may be fully available shortly after opening.
