United Airlines plans a new seasonal nonstop between Denver International Airport (DEN) and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (PLS), launching Dec. 19, 2026. The Saturday-only service will run through April 24, 2027, covering the colder winter months in Colorado and arriving just as the holiday travel rush begins.
Denver will become the westernmost U.S. gateway to Providenciales and the fourth United hub to serve PLS, joining Newark (EWR), Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Washington Dulles (IAD). United intends to operate the route with a 179-seat Boeing 737 MAX 9, which offers 20 first-class recliners and 48 extra-legroom Economy Plus seats.
The new flights arrive as Turks and Caicos is seeing a wave of higher-end hotel openings and bookings that make the islands more attractive to points travelers. Notable recent and upcoming properties include:
– Andaz Turks and Caicos at Grace Bay: Now accepting reservations ahead of a planned June 2027 opening, this will be the first World of Hyatt property in Turks and Caicos, opening up Hyatt-point and transfer-partner redemption options (Hyatt receives transfers from programs such as Chase and Bilt).
– Hotel Indigo Turks and Caicos: An IHG-affiliated property that opened earlier in the year, adding another mid- to upper-tier option for IHG Rewards members.
– Marriott Luxury Collection on South Caicos: A roughly one-year-old Luxury Collection property that expanded Marriott Bonvoy options in the islands.
Beyond these newer properties, established luxury options such as The Ritz-Carlton Turks and Caicos remain popular — especially for travelers willing to spend cash or redeem Marriott Bonvoy points.
For travelers in the Mountain West, the DEN–PLS nonstop should make Turks and Caicos a more convenient winter escape, and the growing number of points-friendly hotels gives loyalty members multiple ways to redeem or earn during a stay. The route’s seasonal schedule and limited weekly frequency mean planning ahead is advisable, particularly around holiday travel dates.
