Bank of America is giving new cardholders a chance to buy tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Applicants approved for either the Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards credit card or the Bank of America Unlimited Cash Rewards credit card by Jan. 5, 2026, are eligible for special ticket access. Accounts must be opened and fully established by Feb. 5, 2026 to qualify.
How the ticket access works
– On Feb. 10 at about noon ET, eligible cardholders will receive a one-time-use link to the FIFA ticketing site. If you don’t have an email address on file with Bank of America, you will need to log in to your account to retrieve the link, so add your email now if needed.
– The ticket purchase window runs through Feb. 24, 2026, or until inventory sells out. Bank of America says thousands of tickets will be allocated to this offer, but availability and pricing vary by match and not every match will have seats.
– A FIFA ID is required to buy tickets; set one up ahead of time. All ticket purchases must be completed with a Visa card.
Cards that qualify and what they offer
Both participating cards have no annual fee, a welcome bonus, and an introductory 0% APR period, but their rewards structures differ:
– Annual fee: $0 for both cards.
– Welcome offer: Earn $200 online cash rewards after spending $1,000 on purchases within the first 90 days of account opening (both cards).
– Intro APR: 0% for the first 15 billing cycles on purchases and qualifying balance transfers made within the first 60 days; after that, variable APRs apply (17.74%–27.74% as disclosed).
– Rewards first year: Customized Cash Rewards — 6% cash back in one category you choose (for example dining, online shopping, or gas) during your first year; Unlimited Cash Rewards — 2% unlimited cash back on all purchases.
Which card might suit you
– Choose the Customized Cash Rewards card if you consistently spend heavily in one category. Earning 6% back on a major spending category for a year can produce significant cash back on a no-fee card.
– Choose the Unlimited Cash Rewards card if you prefer a simple, hands-off approach. A flat 2% back on every purchase is competitive for a no-annual-fee card and avoids tracking categories.
If you plan to use this offer to buy World Cup tickets, the ticket purchase itself could help you reach the $1,000 minimum spend to earn the welcome bonus. Pairing that with the first-year boosted earnings on the Customized card or steady 2% on the Unlimited card can increase the overall value of opening an account beyond just ticket access.
Bottom line
For fans hoping to attend the 2026 World Cup, Bank of America’s cardholder access can be a useful way to get tickets. Inventory is limited and varies by match, so act promptly and confirm your email, FIFA ID, and Visa card details before the purchase window opens.
