Wyndham Rewards is giving members a holiday gift: a complimentary, one-time, one-level status upgrade available now through Dec. 31. Members who request the upgrade will receive the higher tier through the end of 2025. Current Wyndham Diamond members who register instead will earn five times the points on qualifying stays through Dec. 31.
The offer is open to Blue, Gold and Platinum members. New members can join Wyndham Rewards and request the upgrade to Gold. Note that upgraded statuses are not eligible for the Caesars Rewards status match.
Typical qualification thresholds are five nights per calendar year for Gold, 15 nights for Platinum and 40 nights for Diamond. There are other ways to obtain higher tiers: the Wyndham Rewards Earner® Card includes Gold status as a benefit, the Wyndham Rewards Earner® Plus Card provides automatic Platinum status, and the Wyndham Rewards Earner® Business Card grants automatic Diamond status. A Wyndham Rewards Insider subscription can also deliver Gold status.
Mike Shiwdin, group vice president of loyalty and guest engagement at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said in a press release that the upgrade is intended to make stays “shine a little brighter” during the busy travel season, whether for a short night at a budget property or a splurge at a premium Wyndham hotel.
