How the bonus works
– Earn 1 bonus mile per base mile flown on eligible fares for qualifying nonstop routes marketed by American Airlines (AA flight number required, even when Qantas operates the flight).
– The bonus is capped at 25,000 miles. Basic economy tickets and award bookings are excluded.
Example
– Using a recent itinerary as an example: a DFW→AKL flight credited 13,075 base miles and an AKL→JFK return on Qantas credited 10,720 base miles. If booked during the promotion, that round trip would generate 23,795 bonus miles (13,075 + 10,720), for a total of 47,590 AAdvantage miles when counting base and bonus miles together.
How to enroll and important dates
1. Be an AAdvantage member and sign in to your account.
2. Find the offer under the “Promotions” tab and click the register button to enroll.
3. Book eligible flights by May 31. Travel must be completed by March 31, 2027.

– DFW → Sydney (SYD), Melbourne (MEL), Auckland (AKL)
– LAX → SYD, MEL, AKL, Brisbane (BNE)
– JFK → AKL
– SFO → SYD

Tips and limits
– The flight must be marketed by American Airlines (have an AA flight number) to qualify; codeshares where AA markets the seat but another carrier operates it may still be eligible, but confirm ticketing details before purchase.
– Basic economy and award tickets are excluded, so ensure you purchase an eligible fare class.
– The promotion applies only to eligible nonstop flights between the contiguous U.S. and Australia/NZ, not to connecting itineraries that include intermediate stops outside those nonstop legs.
