What the promotion is
World of Hyatt is offering 500 bonus points per qualifying night at select hotels that are new to the Hyatt portfolio. While 500 points isn’t huge (TPG values them at about $8 as of July 2026), the extra points are automatic for eligible nights and can add up across multiple stays.
How to earn the 500 bonus points
– You must be a World of Hyatt member and provide your World of Hyatt number at check-in.
– The bonus applies only to qualifying stays at participating new properties during each hotel’s specific promotional period. Your checkout date must fall within that period.
– Eligible rates include paid rates and award stays or free-night certificates (including redemptions using Hyatt points). Ineligible rates typically include group or convention bookings, tour packages, and other special rate programs.
– The bonus is limited to one room per night.
– Hyatt says bonus points may take three to four weeks to post, though they often post along with base points for the stay.

Why you might care
– The bonus is automatic for eligible nights and requires no separate registration.
– New hotels often have updated rooms and amenities, so stays can be enjoyable and fresh.
– The current list includes several lower-category properties (six Category 1 hotels and 12 Category 2 hotels), which can be useful if you’re redeeming World of Hyatt points for award nights.
What to watch out for
– New properties sometimes work through operational kinks; some facilities or services may not be fully open yet.
– Not all rate types qualify, and the bonus is limited to one room per night.
Frequently asked questions (brief)
– Who earns the bonus? World of Hyatt members staying on eligible nights at participating new hotels earn 500 bonus points per qualifying night.
– Do award stays count? Yes — award nights booked with Hyatt points or free-night certificates qualify.
– Do I need to register? No — registration isn’t required; the bonus is applied automatically when you meet the conditions.
– Where can I find participating hotels? Hyatt maintains a regularly updated list of new hotels and their offer periods on the World of Hyatt website.
– Can you combine this with other promotions? Often you can stack multiple Hyatt promotions, but check each promotion’s terms before assuming they’ll stack.
– When do the points post? Hyatt states three to four weeks, though bonuses often post sooner, typically with the base points.
TPG featured card (summary)
TPG highlights the American Express Gold Card as a valuable travel and dining rewards card: higher points on dining and groceries, new elevated earnings on prepaid hotels through Amex Travel, multiple travel protections, and a selection of statement credits. Terms and enrollment requirements apply; offers and welcome bonuses vary by applicant.
Bottom line
If you have upcoming travel to any of these cities, check the promotional dates for each property and make sure you book an eligible rate and provide your World of Hyatt number at check-in. The 500-point bonus isn’t huge, but it’s automatic for qualifying stays and can be an easy incremental benefit, especially across multiple nights or for members who regularly redeem lower-category awards.
